I teach IB History at HL and SL, with most of my students needing help on Paper 2, Paper 3 and the IA rather than weekly homework. My background is in modern European history, so I tend to be strongest on authoritarian states, the Spanish Civil War and Cold War case studies. I’m fairly direct in lessons: we look at the question, sort the evidence, then practise writing a sharper answer under timed conditions.

Hi, I’m an IB History tutor who mainly works with Year 12 and 13 students online. I did History at university and still spend far too much time reading about 20th-century Europe. Lessons are usually a mix of essay planning, source practice and IA feedback. I’m especially useful for students who know the content but lose marks because their argument gets a bit vague or they struggle to keep paragraphs focused.

I tutor IB History for students who want calmer, more focused support alongside school. I’m particularly interested in independence movements, dictatorships and Cold War diplomacy, and I like helping students turn messy notes into usable essay plans. I also give detailed IA comments, especially on research questions, section B analysis and whether the conclusion actually answers the title, not just the topic.

I’m a former IB History student and now a History graduate, so I know the course from both sides. I usually work with students who are aiming for a 6 or 7 but feel unsure about timing, historiography or Paper 1 sources. My style is practical: we build arguments, test them against past questions and cut out anything that sounds impressive but does not earn marks. I’m honest, but not intimidating.
